New: Real-Time Slack Alerts for Visibility Changes
Get notified in Slack the moment your visibility score drops, a competitor overtakes you, or a new engine starts mentioning your brand. Setup takes under two minutes.
The Problem with Weekly Dashboards
LLM Metrix has always had a weekly digest email. Users told us it was useful — but also that they’d notice a major visibility drop on Friday, try to figure out what happened, and discover it had started on Monday. Five days of confusion baked in before anyone knew there was a problem.
For most visibility changes, a weekly cadence is fine. Scores don’t move dramatically day-to-day under normal conditions. But for the changes that matter most — a significant score drop, a competitor overtake, a new engine starting to describe your brand negatively — a week is too slow.
Slack is where most marketing and growth teams already track what’s happening. Routing critical AI visibility alerts there means the right people see them immediately, in the context they’re already working in.
How It Works
The Slack integration sends three types of alerts:
Score change alerts fire when your Unified Visibility Score moves by 5 or more points in a single week. You can adjust this threshold in Settings — some teams want to know about 3-point moves, others only care about 10+. The alert includes your new score, the change, and the top engine driving the movement.
Competitor overtake alerts fire when a competitor’s score rises above yours. If you’re tracking five competitors and Competitor B passes you, you get an immediate notification with both scores and the 30-day trend. This is the alert that teams tend to respond to fastest — competitive dynamics are motivating in a way that abstract score changes aren’t always.
New engine mention alerts fire when an AI engine that wasn’t previously mentioning your brand starts doing so. This works in both directions: a new positive mention is an opportunity to understand what changed and reinforce it; a new mention that’s inaccurate or negative is something you want to address quickly.
Setting It Up
- Go to Settings > Integrations in your LLM Metrix dashboard
- Click Connect Slack
- Authorize the LLM Metrix app in the Slack OAuth flow
- Choose the channel where alerts should be sent
- Configure your alert thresholds (optional — defaults work well for most teams)
The whole process takes under two minutes. You can connect multiple Slack workspaces if your organization uses more than one.
A tip from our own team: create a dedicated #ai-visibility channel and route alerts there. It keeps the signal clean and gives you a historical record of changes in one place. When you want to understand why your score changed last month, having all the alerts in one channel makes it easy to reconstruct the timeline.
The Slack integration is available on all plans. If you run into any issues, message us — we respond fast.
