FAQ

How product teams read the shelf

Can you track individual product SKUs, not just the brand?
You track queries, not a product catalogue. A tracked prompt is free text, so ‘best running shoes under $100’ or a query naming one specific product are both first-class, and you get mention rate, answer position and sentiment for each, per engine. What we don’t hold is a product record, so there is no per-SKU roll-up across your whole catalogue.
How do seasonal shifts in AI recommendations get handled?
Add the seasonal queries you care about as tracked prompts ahead of the peak, so the plan’s scans build a baseline to compare against. Each scan is differenced against the one before it, so a shift in who gets recommended shows up as a change rather than a number you have to interpret.
Does it work for marketplace sellers on Amazon or similar?
LLM Metrix monitors how AI engines describe and recommend products across the web, including marketplace listings. If Perplexity is recommending an Amazon listing over your DTC site, you’ll see it.
How fast are competitor displacement alerts?
They arrive with the scan that detects them. Paid plans refresh daily and free plans refresh weekly, and you can run a scan on demand at any time, which during a peak period is what most merchants do.
